Students are migrating more and more to video as a main communication medium. Providing them with the right tools and a solid curriculum will allow them to produce high quality video content for delivery to your classrooms, public access channels, etc....
Focused hands-on sessions will include:
- Camera comparisons
- Basic understanding of audio/video signal
- Storage
- File transferring/sharing
- Transcoding
- Editing (comparisons)
- Theft
- Etiquette
- Production timelines/schedules
Who should attend?

We strongly recommend that in addition to the teacher or media specialist a local administrator and IT Director come to the initial 4 hour Introduction session. This will give all the people involved a solid understanding of the power and capabilities of a properly designed video program.
What about funding?
This will be covered in great depth during the sessions. But obvious choices include Title 1 and Title 2 monies as well as special grants from state and local agencies can be used to fund the installation and training for a professional video solution.
How much does it cost and When is it? The 2-day Video Curriculum Bootcamp will be hosted at the Macprofessionals offices in Novi Michigan. Cost is $250.00 per person per day. If 2 or more people from a school or district come the rate is reduced to $199.00 per person per day. The Bootcamp will be on August 5-6, 2009. Sessions start at 9:00 am and run until 5:00 pm with breaks at mid-morning, mid-afternoon and lunch. Registration can be made on our Registration page here.
